Fire erupts in NE Philadelphia home

Fire in Northeast Philadelphia

Firefighters had their hands full fighting a stubborn blaze in Northeast Philadelphia.

The fire broke out around 8:00 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Bartlett Place.

Heavy fire was showing from the first floor of a two-story house as rescuers arrived.

The flames eventually spread to another house.

It took more than an hour to bring the fire under control.

No injuries have been reported and there was no immediate word on the cause of the fire.
