Cutting kids' salt could cut sugary drinks, too

CHICAGO, ILL., December 10, 2012

Australian researchers found that kids who eat more salt in their diet, drink more soda and other sweetened beverages.

And those drinking more sweet drinks are more likely to be overweight.

The doctors say cutting back on processed and take-out foods can make a big dent in salt intake, for both kids and their parents.
