The incident happened just before 3:00 p.m. at the Citizens Bank inside of the Acme in University Plaza.
Police say the suspect approached a 42-year-old employee, stated he was armed and demanded cash.
The employee turned over an unknown amount of cash to the suspect who then fled the bank.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'11", 210 pounds and wearing a dark color hooded sweatshirt and jeans .
The employee was not hurt during the robbery.
