73-year-old Jean Carson was reported missing after friends say she exiting a house to have a cigarette, but never returned.
It was around 10:00 p.m. Wednesday when Carson exited the rear of the home, located on the Neshaminy Creek along the 700 block of Haunted Lane.
Friends tell police it was around 10:00 p.m. when Carson went outdoors to smoke a cigarette. However, after about fifteen minutes they noticed she hadn't returned and called the police.
Police conducted an extensive search around the creek with the help of several crews, but have yet to locate the missing woman.
According to friends, Carson was in good health and did not suffer from any medical or mental problems.
The circumstances which led to Carson ending up in the water remain unknown at this time.
