Trial slated in slaying of Upper Darby barber

MEDIA, Pa. (AP) - March 9, 2013

The Delaware County Daily Times says jury selection in the case against 28-year-old Sharif Wynn wrapped up Friday.

Wynn is charged with first-, second- and third-degree murder as well as aggravated assault, robbery and other counts in the April slaying of 35-year-old Michael Turner of Upper Darby.

Authorities allege that he was the person dressed in Muslim garb who entered Modern Hair Designs, demanded money and then shot Turner in the head.

Police said they immediately suspected the robbery was a ruse and focused on Wynn, whose girlfriend used to have a relationship with Turner.
