The incident happened around 12:45 a.m. on the 6900 block of North 15th Street.
Police arrived to find a man in his 20's shot multiple times.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials say 11 shell casings were found in the area.
A similar crime happened on Tuesday in the East Mount Airy section where a man was shot sitting in his car.
Police have not said if the cases are connected.
So far, no word on arrests or a motive.
