It happened around 1:00 a.m. Sunday in the eastbound lanes near the 26th Street exit in South Philadelphia.
Police tell Action News a pedestrian was struck and killed.
The driver stopped after the accident and is cooperating with investigators.
Traffic had to be diverted off the Schuylkill onto 26th Street while police investigated.
