A freight train derailed early Friday in the Tioga-Nicetown section of Philadelphia.

It happened at 3:30 a.m. on the CSX tracks near 22nd Street and Hunting Park Avenue.

A CSX spokesperson says the train was travelling from Selkirk, New York to Hamlet, North Carolina.

According to officials, there were two locomotives with 138 freight cars but only seven of them derailed.

Images from Chopper 6 HD over the scene showed the derailed cars lying on their sides next to the tracks.

According to police, the cars did not contain any hazardous materials.

No injuries were reported.

The cars have since been re-railed and freight service has been restored.
