On Friday at 11:50 a.m., the Mobile Enforcement Team - North was conducting patrols in the community of Edgemoor Gardens when a member of the team observed what appeared to be a drug transaction that was taking place in the area of Rysing Drive.
Mobile Enforcement Team members stopped Deondre Guy and found he was wanted on two outstanding court capiases.
Police then discovered Guy was concealing five bundles of heroin.
Deondre Guy, who resides in the unit block of Bedford Drive in Wilmington, was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance in a tier 1 quantity.
He was arraigned and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institute after failing to post $6,000 secured bail.
