Troopers say a car parked in the motel's lot far from the rooms about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday. Police say two men in the car began to walk away while troopers were checking on their identities.
Officers say the men were stopped, and a search turned up a handgun and heroin on one man and marijuana on another. Police say heroin and cocaine were found in the car.
Nineteen-year-old Charles Hargroves of Wilmington is charged with weapon and drug offenses. Twenty-year-old Antwine Jackson of Wilmington is charged with drug offenses.
