Gunman fires shots through window, teens wounded in West Philadelphia

Two teens were wounded after a gunman fired shots through a window in West Philadelphia early Tuesday morning, police say.

The incident happened around 1:45 a.m. on the 800 block of North 45th Street.

According to police, a 17-year-old male and an 18-year-old female were sitting on the sofa when shots were fired into the house.

They say the bullets hit the victims in the stomach several times.

Both were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

A total of five people were inside the home, including a 9 month old baby and an elderly woman in a wheelchair.

There was no one else hurt.

Police say seven casings were found outside the house and they are questioning possible witnesses.
