Police say Miguel Sanchez, 48, heated up a fork on a stove, then put the fork on the boy's face.
The boy and his three siblings are now in protective custody.
Sanchez faces child endangerment and assault charges.
The Delaware County Daily Times said Sanchez is being held on $250,000 bail.
