An accused Craigslist robber is now charged with murder.

Authorities say he went to that extreme length to keep the crime under wraps.

Police in the Poconos say 23-year-old William McRae, 20-year-old Brandon Fraser, and 20-year-old Emily Woodman ambushed a man in Monroe County over the summer.

The victim thought he was meeting up with a woman he met through Craigslist.

Instead, police say, Fraser and McRae beat the 45-year-old man with a baseball bat and pistol-whipped him. They then zip-tied him and robbed him.

One week later Fraser was found shot to death in the backseat of a car.

On Wednesday police charged McRae with his murder, saying he did it to keep Fraser quiet about the robbery.
