It happened around 9:00 Friday evening in the westbound lanes near Montgomery Drive in Fairmount Park.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are still unclear.
Medics have been called to the scene.
Authorities say two people, including a man in his 70s, were injured.
The victims have been taken to Hahnemann Hospital. Their injuries appear to be non-life threatening.
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
