The shooting occurred just past 11:30 p.m. on the 5500 block of Mathews Street.
The unidentified victim was rushed to the hospital after being shot in the leg, police say.
He is listed in stable condition.
Police say they are looking into whether the shooting is related to another incident that left one man dead and two others shot in the West Oak Lane section.
Police are investigating.
