Surveillance video released Thursday shows a school district worker loading some of that scrap metal onto a truck. He then allegedly took it to a recycling center in Northeast Philadelphia and sold it.
A Streets Department employee is accused of doing the same thing, but selling it to a recycling center in North Philadelphia.
They came away with a combined total of nearly $2,600.
Authorities also showed off some of the scrap they seized from the two workers before it could be sold.
Both departments are deciding how to discipline the accused employees.
