Police release description of hit-and-run driver in Northeast Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA - April 10, 2014

The incident happened before 6:30 a.m. Thursday at Cottman Avenue and Sackett Street.

Police say the victim was struck by a white and black Ford F-150 pickup truck with racing stripes, a black cap on the back and Delaware tags.

The victim broke both of his legs in the incident. He was taken to Aria Health/Torresdale in stable condition to be treated.

The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene.

He is described as Black male, bald and clean shaven. Investigators say he was wearing a blue security guard shirt with a Guardian logo.

The truck was last seen headed east on Cottman Avenue, then south on Rowland.

Anyone who sees the suspect or the vehicle is asked to contact Philadelphia Police or call 911.
