The shooting happened just before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Rosehill and Somerset streets.
Police say the victim was shot multiple times and taken by a private vehicle to Episcopal Hospital, then transferred to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.
No arrests have been made as police continue their investigation.
