The shooting happened at 3:32 p.m. Friday on the 3700 block of North 5th Street.
Police arrived on the scene to find a 31-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
The victim was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Police say the man was shot when the two suspects robbed him of his dirt bike.
The first suspect is described as a black male, thin build, wearing blue clothing. The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 300 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt with all gray clothing over top.
The stolen dirt bike is a white Yamaha 125 with decals all over the frame.
The suspects were last seen headed westbound on Erie Avenue.
