FDA wants more men included in breast cancer trials
FDA wants more men included in breast cancer trials: Brian Taff reports during Action News at 4:30pm on August 26, 2019.

The Food and Drug Administration wants more men included in breast cancer drug trials.

Men make up about one percent of breast cancer cases, however, they're likely to be diagnosed at a more advanced stage.

Few men have been included in past trials, so there's very little data on what works, or doesn't, for them.

Because of that, treatment is usually based on female-only studies.
