Judge denies request to extend voting hours in Northampton County, Pa.
A judge has denied a request by Democrats to extend voting hours in Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
The request came amid long lines at Lehigh University.
Scott Hough, the vice chair of the Northampton County Election Commission, confirms to ABC News that voters in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania - near Lehigh University - are waiting in line for as long as seven hours to cast their ballots.
Hough said it is due to a broken voting machine in one precinct. The local fire department recently did a safety check for individuals in line.
Polls close in Pennsylvania at 8 p.m.
