If you have a nut allergy, you probably avoid all nuts at all costs, but a new study shows that may not be necessary for some people.
Researchers say just because someone is allergic to one nut, it doesn't mean they're allergic to all nuts, even if they've been diagnosed.
They followed more than 100 people who tested positive with a blood test for a tree nut allergy.
They found only half had reactions when actually eating different nuts, meaning even though they're allergic to peanuts, they didn't have a reaction to almonds or cashews.
Still, don't do this at home.
This was done as part of a study with doctors standing by with medication.
