Popular happy hour 'SIPS' event returns this summer in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- SIPS, the Center City District's popular happy hour, will be back this summer.

The event was canceled for the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Workers returning to the office this summer will again have the opportunity to socialize with colleagues after hours.

Center City SIPS will run Wednesdays evenings, June through August, at dozens of local bars and restaurants.

"Beginning June 1, participating locations within the Center City District will offer $6 cocktails, $5 wine, $4 beer and half priced appetizers every Wednesday after work through August 31," the Center City District says.

A full list of participants and drink specials will be released at a later date.
