Woman killed by Amtrak train in Delaware County

NORWOOD, Pa. (WPVI) -- A woman was struck and killed by an Amtrak train Saturday morning in Norwood, Delaware County.

It happened around 10:30 near the Norwood SEPTA station on the 500 block of Welcome Avenue.

SEPTA temporarily suspended service on the Wilmington/Newark Regional Rail Line to investigate.

Amtrak trains were also stopped at 30th Street Station.

All services have been restored.

The incident is under investigation.
