Police in Kutztown are investigating a pair of rapes on the campus of Kutztown University. They say it is clear that the two are not related.

The first happened at 3:00 Tuesday morning inside the university's Old Main Residence Hall.

Police say in this case, the victim knew her attacker, and she had let him into the building.

That suspect is a student. He has been taken into custody.

An hour later, another woman was assaulted in a stairwell inside Beck Hall.

That attacker escaped and the victim says she did not know him.

The unidentified man was described as a white man of college age with dark brown hair. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts at the time, and had a day's worth of facial hair.

Investigators say they don't know whether that man is a student at the school.
