Her son is a specialist with the U.S. Army 173rd Airborne Infantry.
Now, Spencer is sending Easter treats to more than 250 GIs in Afghanistan.
But the soldiers won't be getting their treats in baskets.
She says Easter baskets don't hold up well during shipping.
So, Spencer is packing the goodies in bags.
Spencer and about 30 helpers also prepared Christmas treats for the her son and his comrades-in-arms.
She says she hopes to do the same for Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and next Christmas.
