Gripefest a hit at university

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - March 6, 2008

Administrators at Oregon State University heard plenty of complaints this week as part of Gripe Fest '08.

The event is organized by the Associated Students of OSU.

Erin Frybarge's beef was about the chow, saying there isn't much variety in the campus cafeterias.

Other students had objections about everything from expensive textbooks to the lack of parking on campus.

But Karla Meyer, a senior in public health, is upset her major gets no respect.

Officials say many of the complaints are typical and have no immediate solution.
