Judge to Amish: Keep it down!

HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. (AP) - March 11, 2008

Attorneys representing the Noah Hostetler family and the neighbors that sued them have yet to comment on Monday's ruling.

Judge Timothy Sullivan says the Hostetlers must not use their sawmill on weekends, legal holidays and Christmas Eve. They must also build a sound-absorbing wall to muffle the noise created by a dust blower at the family's furniture factory.

The judge refused to stop the family from running a dog kennel, however, despite neighbors' complaints about barking dogs, too.
