Weekend fun at the Jersey shore

OCEAN CITY, N.J. - March 21, 2008 Easter weekend is getting of to a running start in Ocean City. After a long winter, business owners are ready to go.

There was no bad weather today. The first customers of the weekend enjoyed a rare Ocean City combination - sun and space.

Though it was not summer traffic, a lot of people cruised Ocean City's boardwalk Friday. They found plenty of spots for shopping and eating.

Mack and Manco pizza shop even had to direct traffic.

Regular visitors to Ocean City say summer's here are fun, but Easter weekend brings its own excitement.

Here are some fun things to do down the shore this weekend:

Woofin' Paws Pet Fashion Show: 11a.m. Saturday at the football field at 6th Street and the Boardwalk.

Easter Egg Hunt: 2:30 p.m. Saturday on the beach between 11th and 13th Streets.

Non-denominational Easter Sunrise Service: 6:30 a.m. Sunday. Due to construction on the boardwalk, the service has been moved from the Music Pier to the Tabernacle at 5th Street and Wesley Avenue.

Easter Fashion Competition: 1 p.m. Sunday in front of the Music Pier at the Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace.
