School bus crash hurts 3 students

PIKE CREEK, Del. - May 5, 2008

The crash happened just after 7:30 a.m. on New Linden Hill Road east of Skyline Drive in Pike Creek, Delaware.

A school bus carrying students to the Odyssey Charter School rear-ended a Jeep that was waiting to turn into a parking lot.

All students were taken to the hospital for evaluation. Three of them sustained minor injuries, according to police.

The driver of the Jeep, Sandra Maus, 61, of Wilmington, was also taken to the hospital for treatment.

The school bus driver was issued a traffic citation.
