Phillies Open Weekend Series against Rangers in Houston

HOUSTON (AP) - June 27, 2008 They'll try to get back on track in Houston tonight against the team that leads the majors in runs.

The Phillies open a three-game road series against the Texas Rangers, who may be without major league RBI leader Josh Hamilton.

Philadelphia is fourth in the majors in runs with 404, but that production has been limited against the American League this season.

They have lost seven of their last eight games, and were shut out for the second time in that stretch in a 5-0 loss last night at Oakland.

Hamilton left last night's 7-2 loss at Houston when he was hit in the left hand by a pitch from Wandy Rodriguez in the first inning.

X-rays were negative and he's day to day.
