Officials: Delaware beach traffic off
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (AP) - July 6, 2008 At Dolle's Candyland, the landmark candy shop on the Rehoboth
boardwalk, longtime manager Marie Kilpatrick says parking spots are
easier to find in town and her customers are being more careful
about how much they spend.
At Delaware Seashore State Park, superintendent Doug Long says
business was off about 10 to 15 percent.
And in Bridgeville, a key transit point for beach traffic,
Michael Layton, the owner of Layton's Hardware on Market Street,
says traffic was heavy, but nowhere near as heavy as in the past.
