Police arrest man in Del. apartment shooting

NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - July 7, 2008 New Castle County Police have charged 19-year-old Bernard Ellerbe with attempted murder, attempted robbery and weapons possession.

Police said Ellerbe shot a 37-year-old man living at the Pine Valley Apartments inside his home about 5 a.m. on June 24. The victim was wounded in the chest and underwent emergency surgery at Christiana Hospital.

Ellerbe was arraigned Monday morning and is being held in a correctional facility.
