January 19, 2009 The Flood sisters said they buy and sell things and look for jobs on Craigslist. So when their father needed a kidney transplant, and they didn't match they also went to Craigslist to find a donor.
It took a year of postings but Dawn Verdick, an altruistic donor responded.
"There was never a time when I knew I was a donor and I hesitated, should I or shouldn't I? It was not even an option," said Dawn over the phone.
The family paid for Ms. Verdick's travel and medical expenses but said they can't pay or thank her enough.
