Augie, the greater Swiss mountain dog, ate 400 bucks.
Davis tells the News & Observer of Raleigh, N.C., she earned the money working extra hours as a physical therapist.
She says she didn't get around to depositing the money in the bank.
But Augie made some deposits of his own.
Davis says when she walked the two-year-old family pooch, she found bits of chewed up cash in his you-know-what.
Davis recovered parts of three $100 bills and five $20s.
She washed the dirty money with a garden hose.
Davis says she hopes to recover enough of the bills to exchange them for fresh cash.
