A man whose conviction in a fatal shooting outside a Wilmington club was thrown out has been convicted of murder a second time. A Superior Court jury found Charles Burley guilty Wednesday of fatally shooting Johnny Triplett in 2006 outside an illegal after-hours nightclub.

Burley was convicted in August 2007, but the conviction was thrown out when the judge decided that the prosecutor improperly injected race into the proceedings.

Burley, who represented himself in the second trial, showed no apparent reaction to the verdict but told the judge he would be filing a motion for a new trial.
