TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - May 21, 2009
The state Assembly on Thursday will consider a bill that would
bar sex offenders convicted of violating minors from working for
social, cultural and a host of other youth groups.
The measure does not apply to schools, whose employees and
volunteers are covered by separate laws.
An offender who takes a paid or unpaid position in a group and
the person who hired them would face prison time, fines or both.
