Mrs. Fixit:Backyard BBQ

August 8, 2009

Before you set up, fill a spray bottle with white vinegar and spray your tables, chairs and patio area, being careful not to spray it on any plants or flowers. The smell of the vinegar will dissappate, but it will keep bugs away from your picnic, they hate vinegar!

If your tablecloth is always blowing off in the wind, clip some metal drapery rings around the perimeter. They'll weigh down the tablecloth so it stays put!

A lot of grills today have a handy storage compartment underneath. Store items you use by the grill underneath in snap top plastic storage containers. They keep everything clean but right at your fingertips.

And speaking of fingertips, you want your spices and squirt bottle there too. Stick a magnetic caddy from the office supply store to the outside of the grill front where it doesn't get hot.

You can keep salt, pepper and a squirt bottle in reach but not in the way! I'm Mrs. Fixit and it's just that simple!
