Action News on the streets for Variety

People in Center City read all about the good news of an annual Philadelphia tradition this morning.

Volunteers sold copies of "The Happiness Edition" newspaper in Center City, as part of the 52nd Annual Old Newsboys Day.

Proceeds from the sales benefit Variety - The Children's Charity.

Action News Anchor Monica Malpass was there talk with the volunteers and help kick things off this morning.

The Action Cam was also in Montgomery County, as volunteers there also took part in the Old Newsboy's Day tradition this morning.

Action News morning anchor Matt O'Donnell hosted a special rally, alongside county D.A. Risa Ferman, outside the courthouse in Norristown.

Volunteers then took to the streets to raise money for Variety.

It was only the second time in the event's 52-year history that Montgomery County participated.
