In an interview with a Harrisburg radio station the former Pennsylvania governor says warnings from Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab's father should have prompted the State Department to revoke his visa.
Abdulmutallab is accused of igniting an explosive mixture aboard Northwest Airlines Flight 253 as it prepared to land in Detroit.
Abdulmutallab's father told the U.S. embassy in Nigeria his son had drifted into extremism.
