Authorities say 58-year-old Michael M. Hudson, is being held without bail at the Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown.
According to a heavily redacted arrest affidavit filed Friday night, police recovered a .357 revolver from Hudson's home and found a "significant blood stain" under a carpet remnant in his living room.
Court records said the body found by authorities appeared to be male.
