Police: Body dumped in King of Prussia

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. - April 9, 2010

Police responded to the area of Brandywine Lane and Walker Lane after a resident on the street, Frank Bednark, reported that he saw a dead body Friday morning.

"About 10 of 8:00 this morning I came down to pick up the newspaper, bent over, happened to look up, and saw the body laying there," Bednark said.

He said he was going through his morning routine when he saw the body under the trees across the street from his Brandywine Lane home.

"I could see he was beaten about the head severely," said Bednark. "I could see he wasn't breathing."

Authorities believe the body was dumped in the quiet neighborhood. There were tire tracks left behind on the ground.

According to Bednark the man was Hispanic, in his 30's and was wearing shorts and a black T-shirt which was pulled up as if he had been dragged by it.

Kim Bednark said she didn't believe the victim was someone from the area.

"We pretty much know most of the people in our general area and we didn't recognize him whatsoever," Bednark said.

Police say, at this point, they do not know the man's identity, but the investigation continues.
