Facebook responds to privacy issues

May 24, 2010 One security vendor says 16-percent of Facebook users have closed their account due to privacy concerns.

You may remember, in early May, a technical snafu allowed some users to view friends' private chats!

Now, CEO Mark Zuckerberg is promising publicly to fix the problems. In an op-ed piece in the Washington Post, he says in the coming weeks Facebook will add privacy controls that are simpler to use. It will also give users an easy way to turn off all third-party services.
