Carpet recycling plant to create 30 jobs in Del.
June 8, 2010 Modular Carpet Recycling officials and Gov. Jack Markell
announced the opening of the plant on Monday.
CEO and founder Ron Simonetti says the company will specialize
in recycling nylon through a chemical process and advance the
processes for producing environmental friendly nylon carpets.
The company used a $603,000 loan from the Delaware Strategic
Fund to help purchase equipment for the plant. Simonetti says he
looked in Pennsylvania and Delaware for a home for his business but
decided on Delaware because of the location of the plant and help
from the state government.
The plant will start operating at the end of June.
