Families can flock to the Philadelphia Zoo for Festival of Flight a free-flight bird show that brings Zoo-goers within inches of the wild with an exciting array of birds from around the world.

The high-flying, fast-paced show features fantastic sun conures, singing Kookaburras and colorful parrots that collect dollar bills from audience members which go to support birds affected by the gulf oil crisis and other bird rehabilitation efforts.

The amazing birds fly directly over the audience's heads, swooping low to give zoo-goers an up-close look at vibrant feathers and powerful talons. This year's show will also include a bird walk which features double-yellow headed amazons following staff around the Zoo's Bird Lake.

Through entertaining and interactive demonstrations, expert trainers help Zoo guests learn more about birds and their incredible natural abilities and behaviors. Festival of Flight is free with Zoo admission. Shows will be held daily at 11:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. now through August 15.
