2 held for trial in Philly dance club hit-and-runs

PHILADELPHIA - May 5, 2011

A judge ordered 24-year-old Sharonda Cheeves and 23-year-old Jesslyn Williams to stand trial on charges they repeatedly circled the block to run down clubgoers outside Club Motivation in September.

Party hostess Kadella Davis testified at Wednesday's preliminary hearing that she barred the inebriated women from the club and they retaliated by running down her and five patrons.

Police say Williams drove on the first three passes but Cheeves was alone in the car on the final pass, which killed 27-year-old Alisha Moore.

Williams faces trial on aggravated assault and other charges and Cheeves is charged with murder. Messages left for their lawyers Thursday were not immediately returned.
