Same 7-Eleven store robbed three times

WEST OAK LANE - May 19, 2011

Fed up with how many times the business has been hit, Philadelphia police released surveillance video late Thursday evening hoping someone will help identify the armed men who rushed into the 7-Eleven convenience store on Ogontz Avenue.

In the video, you can see one robber in a painters mask show the clerk his gun while his partner in crime runs around the counter and grabs the cash.

The incident happened on April 21st.

The second was on May 11th when the suspect got away with nothing after the clerk set off the alarm.

The third robbery happened a few days ago on the 14th when two men grabbed whatever they could from the cash register and took off.

"Late night, he does lock the door and he tries to select who he'll allow to come in, but that's not enough," customer Beryl Williams said.

Based on the video, these suspects did everything they could to hide their faces. The 7-Eleven clerks told Action News they believe they're dealing with three different groups of suspects, but investigators think there's a chance it's the same group of suspects.

Police can't be sure, however, until they get more information or catch the men who keep targeting this store.

"It's a shame that we can't do more to protect them, all they're trying to do is making a living and support their families; it's scary," Terry Madison of Mt. Airy said.

Police say these men are armed and dangerous, if you recognize them you are asked to call authorities.
