Flames broke out shortly after 7:00 a.m. inside the auto body shop, located on the corner of East Haines Street and Rodney Avenue.
Arriving crews found heavy flames on the first floor of the building. Crews immediately went to work battling the blaze.
The fire was placed under control at around 7:30.
One firefighter was transported to Einstein in stable condition. The nature of the firefighter's injury is unclear at this time.
