2 arrested in N. Phila. carjacking, shooting

GERMANTOWN - November 28, 2011

18-year-old Tracy Briscoe and 20-year-old Kareem Long are accused of targeting a couple early Saturday morning.

Philadelphia police say at approximately 2:40 a.m. along the 3000 block of Germantown Avenue, a 26-year-old male was seated in the driver seat of his car with his 19-year-old girlfriend seated in the passenger seat when both Briscoe and Long approached the vehicle.

Briscoe fired a gun through the passenger window striking the driver in the chest and right arm and striking the passenger in the left thigh area.

The victims were able to escape the vehicle prior to Long driving away with the vehicle.

The victims were transported to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

Tracy Briscoe and Kareem Long are charged with two counts each of: Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Simple Assault, Violation of Uniform Firearms Act and related offenses.
