Tony Catanoso, one of the pier's owners, tells The Press of Atlantic City that the state must still process some mandatory paperwork for six of the park's eight new rides. And while it's not clear when that will happen, the process will likely be completed sometime next week.
The site had planned to open Saturday as scheduled, with a limited number of its 22 rides operating.
But pier owners eventually decided to wait until all the site's rides could be operational. So the opening has been pushed back until late Friday afternoon, as the Memorial Day holiday weekend will be getting under way.
